The 2nd Annual Bubbles & Boobs FUNdraising event was held to benefit the locally based Compassionate Hands and Hearts Breast Cancer Outreach Program (CHHBO) this past weekend on October 19th. Raising funds, awareness, and most importantly raising FUN…. Always with and emphasis on the FUN in FUNdraising!!

CHHBO, was founded by breast cancer survivor and local TV anchorwoman, Vanessa Echols in 2007. Vanessa is an Oviedo resident and sits as the Founder/President of the organization. CHHBO send every penny to the community as they have no paid staff, all volunteer base. CHHBCO fills a much need in our community for breast cancer patients. In fact, to many of us, this need was not known to the masses. A small piece of what this organization does is take patients to chemo appointments, buying groceries, paying rent, paying for utilities. Bubbles & Boobs is a 501(c)(3) organization missioned to spark “Bubble Parties” to raise money to fight Breast Cancer & raise Breast Cancer awareness & wellness discussions while celebrating National Champagne Day across the globe. Headquartered in Washington, DC, B&B was founded by
Maureen Blum, a lifelong friend of Oviedo Resident and 14+ year Breast Cancer survivor Linda Schulte. Linda is stepping in as the Orlando captain. As a Bubbles & Boobs board member, Linda is resuming her role as the Orlando Team Captain. This year “Bubble Parties” will be held on 3 continents, in 8 states and DC as well as 2 virtual parties. This year, the Orlando event doubled the attendance from last year and nearly doubled the total funds brought in…. the event is sponsored by local Real Estate Brokerage, Schulte Realty. Schulte Realty is and has always been highly involved in giving back to the community through various organizations including the MS Society of Mid Florida, Whipping Childhood Cancer events including “KK’s Christmas Toy Drive” for pediatric cancer patients at Arnold Palmer hospital on Christmas Day, and supporting many various local breast cancer organizations in Central Florida just to name a few.
